Jennifer began her journey at Lucy Brock as an intern and was fortunate enough to join the Lucy Brock family in 2007 as a lead teacher in one of the infant/toddler classrooms. She worked as the lead infant/toddler teacher for 8 years before transitioning into the preschool classroom as a lead teacher and has remained there since. Jennifer is a native to Boone, North Carolina and was lucky enough to have been born and raised in the beautiful Appalachian mountains. She received her Bachelor's degree in Child Development from Appalachian State and is currently working on her Master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Program Leadership and Administration. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have a daughter named Sayleigh, who is in the preschool classroom at Lucy Brock. As a family they love to go hiking and explore the mountains as a family with their dog. Jennifer believes that children are competent and capable of directing their path of learning and the foundation of their knowledge.
