Julia joined the Lucy Brock Child Development Lab School family in August of 2014. She graduated from the Family and Child Studies Department with a focus in Child Development: Birth-Kindergarten, within the College of Education at Appalachian State University in May of 2012. She teaches Preschool in our first ever off-site collaborative program with Watauga County Schools at Parkway School. She helps demonstrate our philosophy to families, community, and Appalachian students in a public school setting. Julia is currently earning an advanced teaching licensure and MEd from UNC Greensboro. With this degree, she hopes to continue pursuing her passion of facilitating children in the classroom to think and grow within their most natural state of play.
